This Gallagher electric poultry net includes posts, wires and clips in one roll, so it is quick to set up, easy to move and ideal for both temporary and permanent chicken runs.
The Gallagher Electric Poultry Netting 50 m (G90402) is a complete portable fence system designed to keep chickens securely contained while deterring dogs, cats and other predators on New Zealand properties.
Instead of juggling separate posts, tape and wires, this is a fully integrated electrified net. Just unroll the netting, step in the posts and connect it to a suitable fence energizer to create a safe, powered enclosure for your hens, pullets or meat birds. It is ideal for moving chooks around garden beds, orchard rows or pasture, and it is also suitable for more permanent chicken yards.
Each 50 m roll is 1.06 m high, made up of 8 horizontal stainless steel poly wires with strong plastic verticals that form a tight mesh, helping to stop birds pushing through and keeping ground predators out. There are 15 built in posts with sharp foot spikes, so you can simply push them into the ground by foot and do not need extra standards or insulators.
The bottom wire is not live, which helps prevent constant shorting from grass growth and rough ground, so you keep good fence voltage where it counts. When you are ready to shift the birds, pull out the posts, roll up the net and carry it to the next area. For larger flocks or wider paddocks, you can join multiple nets together using the built in connectors and power them from one energizer.
This netting pairs perfectly with Gallagher solar energizers such as the S6, S12 or S20 for a fully portable New Zealand setup with no mains power required.
