The Gallagher Electric Sheep and Goat Netting 50 m (G90400) is a complete portable fence in a roll, designed to make sheep and goat control simple on New Zealand farms and lifestyle blocks.
Sheep and goats need higher fence voltage than cattle, and they are experts at finding gaps. This powered netting gives you both a physical barrier and a strong psychological barrier, so stock respect the fence and stay where you put them. It is ideal for break feeding, lane control, quarantine paddocks or protecting new grass and waterways.
Each 50 m roll is 90 cm high and built from 8 horizontal stainless steel poly wires with sturdy vertical meshes to stop lambs pushing through. There are 14 built in posts with sharp foot spikes that push into the ground easily, so you do not need extra standards. Just unroll, step in the posts and connect to a suitable energizer.
Gallagher has designed this netting for reliable performance in real pasture conditions. The bottom wire is not live, so the fence can cope better with grass growth and rough ground without constant shorting and voltage loss. When you are finished in one paddock, simply pull the posts, roll the netting up and carry it to the next break.
If you need to fence a larger area, you can join multiple nets together using the built in clips and run them from a single energizer, making it a flexible system for rotational grazing and mixed terrain.
