The Gallagher Geared Reel, Pre Wound With 200 m Poly Tape (G61153) is a ready to use option for portable electric fencing on Kiwi farms. Straight out of the box it is loaded with 200 metres of quality poly tape, so you can clip it onto your reel stand or bike, run out a break and be grazing stock on fresh feed in minutes.
At the heart of the reel is a 3:1 heavy duty gearbox that pulls in three times the tape with every turn of the handle. That makes shifting breaks, crop fences and temporary lanes much quicker and easier on your arms, especially in wet winters or when you are moving fences every day.
The frame is fully galvanised metal with a white high impact hub, built to cope with tough New Zealand farming conditions and rough handling on quads and side by sides. A large hook with transport lock lets you secure the reel to the bike or permanent fence wire while you move between paddocks, and the impact resistant reel guide helps keep tape feeding on and off smoothly without tangles.
A shatter proof reel lock holds tension once the fence is set, while the long crank arm and large, comfortable hand grip with knuckle guard give you better leverage and safer winding even with wet or gloved hands.
