The Gallagher S120 Lithium Solar Fence Energizer is designed for farmers and block owners who need dependable fence power where mains power is not available. Gallagher describes it as their most powerful lithium-powered solar energizer to date, built for remote pastures, tough terrain, and heavy stock pressure, while still being light enough to move around the farm when needed. 

With 1.2 joules of adaptive power and the ability to power up to 4km of fencing, the S120 is well suited to managed grazing, rotational pasture management, and off-grid livestock or wildlife control. Gallagher also notes that it uses smart adaptive energy control, which helps the energizer adjust to changing sunlight and battery levels to maintain consistent performance. 

A big part of the S120’s appeal is its portability and simple setup. Gallagher highlights its lightweight, compact design, integrated carry handle, and easy installation, making it practical for temporary fencing, shifting grazing systems, and remote boundaries. It also has LED indicator lights so you can quickly see if the battery is low or if there is a fault. 

This unit is built to handle outdoor conditions. Gallagher states it has an IPX4 water resistant case, built-in lightning protection, and a dual-insulated enclosure that helps protect the internal circuitry and lithium battery from extreme temperatures. It also uses a 12-watt high-efficiency solar panel to keep the internal lithium battery charged for self-sufficient fence power day and night. 

The S120 also includes two operating modes to suit different jobs. Gallagher says Livestock Mode conserves energy by pulsing faster during the day and slower at night, while Wildlife Mode maintains a faster 24/7 pulse for pest pressure and boundary defence. It is backed by a 3-year warranty including the battery, with Gallagher’s wider New Zealand warranty policy covering defects in materials and workmanship subject to its terms.
