The DEK 15HP Petrol Engine 2:1 Reduction is built for applications where you need extra torque and reduced output speed compared with a standard horizontal shaft engine. With its integrated 2:1 reduction gearbox, this engine is a practical option for equipment and drive systems that benefit from more pulling power and lower shaft speed, making it a good fit for a range of workshop, rural and machinery uses across New Zealand.

This model uses a 420cc 4-stroke single cylinder OHV air-cooled petrol engine and is rated at 14.8hp @ 3600rpm, with the reduction setup giving an 1800rpm shaft output. It is fitted with both electric and recoil start, which gives you flexibility depending on how the engine is being used and whether battery starting is available. The engine is also fitted with a horizontal 22mm keyway shaft and counter clockwise PTO output direction.

The product page also lists a 6.5 litre fuel tank, 72dB(A) noise level at 7 metres, 33kg weight, and overall dimensions of 450mm x 510mm x 400mm, giving you a strong balance of output and practical workshop sizing.
